A Worthy Model.
There would be considerably less work for temperance reformers if all publicans would act up to the idftft of the saloonkeeper of nn Ohio villagp, who has issued the following card :— •' l"o all whom it may concern, — Know ye that, by the payment of £'45, 1 am permitted to sell intoxieaU ing liquors at my naloon m ithis city. To the wife who has a. drunkard for a busbaud, or a friend : who is unfortunately dissipated, I say emphatically give me notice m person of such case or'cmes m which you are interested, and alt such shall be excluded. from my place; Let tuotheis, fathers, sisters, and ,hrotherß do likewise, and their requosts will be kindly regarded. I pay a heavy tax for thy privilege of selling liquors, and' I want it distinctly understood that I have no desire to sell to drunkards or minors, or to the poor or destitute. 1
