A 'Frisco Romance.
The San Francisco .correspondent of the Auckland Herald tells the following' furious story :— " A young lady having two loveiw accepted both, to marry whom 1 she nanied a certain day last week. As they were driviug away, No, 2 turned "up, and divining how matters .stood, ptUil his cab tn an a largo sum td ' whip lip h is* ' horses, arid overtake the pair; '■ whiff/ seeing theinselved pursued, hit™ upon a plan. In passing a police' iVation, No.' 1 got out, . said the man behind him was about to take his life, and swore out a warrant against him ; so, when No. 2 galloped np, the police stopped and took; hidi into custody, which enabled thje pair to get 'married, whereupon NoJ'lwan the rieict morning released, as there was no pue to. prosecute. • ' ::'-■'■.'.:■ .
