Tokar Surrendered. (BY ELECTRTC TELEGRAPH.— COPYHIGHT.) (REUTERS' TELEGRAMS.) Cairo, February 2-2. i lhe garrison at Tokar has yielded to* the rebels. Telegrams to hand from Souakitn announce that messages- had bet-n received there from the Governor of Tofcaty 'stating that being' without food, and finding thac it/was impossible to furthor prolong- the " defence of the town, which for some days previously has been closely invested by the enemy, he had- been compelled to accept tho terms offered by the Arab ' besiegers, and had agreed to surrender the town to them. Telegram? further state that one-half of the 'garrison had submitted to ''the rebel leader, but that the remainder had become! fugitives. Nothing is yet lrnb'wn as to the manner m which the non-combatant inhabitants 'nave been treated by the adherents of BfeMahdi.
