Yesterday evening a barmaid at the Union Hotel, named Olga Sfcenisse, a Dane, about 24 years of age.died under very suspicious circumstances. She was engaged at the Union Hotel barmaid, and had been there formerly. It appears that yesterday at 1 o'clock, through some cause unascertained, but supposed to be jealousy, she took half a 'f box of " rough on rats," the effects of which were ultimately fatal. A post mortem examination will be made and an inquest held. . „ . ; Latkr. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict that deceased met her. .death by poison administrated by her own banda, not believing at the time m the. .deadly nature of the compound, and added a rider that the man Miller ia deserving of severe censure for not calling medical aid earlier.
