i The test cuse of the Rungitikei County. Council -v. Joseph .Abbott,claim for £79 rales, came. on for hearing at the /Resident Magistrate^ Court, Marlon,' "ye.sterday. The defendant denied that his land was within the Eangitikei County, and called Mr 1 jiffiton, Clerk to the Wanganiii County jCquncij, who produced /the valuation roll,- showing, fcha.b Mr. Abbot's land was in the. Wanganui County. The further heaving was adjourned, al. the request of the plain tiffs, tintilthe third Monday ia February, the plaintiffs paying the costs of the adjournment^ which amounted to MS Bs. M r Esam appeared JFor the EungitikeiiCounty Council, and Mr Hutchison for Mr Abbott.
