We are informed on good authority that although the weights for the Manawatu Rsces were not declared until Saturday nignt at- Paltuerstdn, they were I^uown^o. certain people in. Wanganui on Saturday and Sunday last. 'It appears to us tbat if it was thought desirable that the weights should be made public in Wanganui before or at the same time they were published in Palmers! on, the proper plan was to have done so through the medium of the local Press.
