(by telegraph) (united press association.) Dunedin, September 27. Bishop Moran having written to the Minister of Fducation calling his attention to the fact that the school work m the local High School is opened with prayer, and m a country school with praise and the reading of the Bible, add aisking if such was m accordance with law, has received a reply that that these matters are left to the local authorities, and that the Legislature have given the Minister of Education no power.
