The Dairy Factory.
A meeting of the Provisional Directors of the proposed Manawatu Butter, Cheese.'and Bacon Manafacturia<? Co., was held at the office of Mr F. Mowlem yesterday, Tuesday the 18th inst. Mr fenelson having been elected chairman, stated that the meeting had been called for the' purpose of devisinar the best means of canvassing the district m the interests of the Company. The Secretary stated that over 400 shares had been taken up which augured well for the successful floating of tie company as no canvassing had been done outside Karere. The following gentlemen volunteeredto canvass for shares. Mr J.. Mow Jem, south side of railway line from Karere to the Town Hall, Pahnerston. Mr W. Akers, Fitzhe.rbert Creek. Messrs Snelson and F. Mowlcn, the Borough. Mr C. Collis, Rangitikei Line and Kairanga Block. Air T. V. Hitch 1 m, Stoney Creek District. Bash canvasser was authorised to collect application fees and give receipt, for sam^. The following resolution was unanimously passed, " That ia the event of the Company not being floated all monies paid on account of shares, be returned m fall. The meeting then adjournel until Tuesday next, September 25th.
