The procession was accompanied by, a large number of larrikins hooting and yelling. As the barracks were approached rotten eggs were produced and thrown- at the Salvationists, and for, about an hour there was a tremendous commotion. Some women fainted in' thd 'crash, and others were orving ; fifom the rough usage they received. The po'ice eventually managed to clij'ar the streets* '
