Preparations are being made by the railway authorities for taking out the dangerous curves between Pokeno and Taukau on the Waikato Line. The work it is estimated will cost about £6000, but the saving m wear and tear and engine* power, to say nothing of the avoidance of danger, will amply compensate for this seemingly large expenditure.
