In the House on Thuraday, Mr Hutchison called attention to the published letter of Mr Fibzherbert, the solicitor who defended Angelique r herasse, and remarked that the police appeared to have been following this young woman from morning till night. He asked who was. responsible for this conduct of the police. Hrn Mr Bryce replied that he was responsible tor the police, and if the hon. member was prepared to say this young woman had been followed by detectives from morning till night, he was prepared to tell him this was not so. Mr Hutchison was only prepared to say what appealed m the letter he had mentioned.
