Edwin has received the followtelegram this morning 1 re tidal wave at Monganui :— " Th« sea ha 3 been rah- | ing ia and receding with much rapidity for several hours." Later. Captain Edwin received a telegram ~Ennettir a.m.~from Kussell, stating that a tidal wave had been experienced there also. A farther message from Monjronui stating that a first rush of water took place at 10 p.m. last night, bat nothing of any consequence until four this morning lasting until 10 o'clock.
