(SPECIAL TELEGRAM TO THE STANDARD.) (PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, This Day. Weather forecast for 24 hourß from 9 a.m, to-day : — Wind, between north-east and northwest m both Islands.Barometer, falling again at all places south of Lyttelton and Hokitika within 8 hours, and later at all other places. Sea, heavy on Western Coast, and between Castlepoint and Kaikoura on East Coast. Warnings for northerly gales have been sent to all stations; Synopsis of last 24 hours : There was a further fall of the barometer for a few hours, but it has risen everywhere during the night. The weather has been generally fine, with strong north-west to south-west winds. R. A. Edwin.
