Healey, M.P. for Monaghan, intends to ask, m the House of Commons, how many convicts there are m the ' Parliament and Government of New South Wales. - , The Anamese are pressing the French garrisons at Nam-dinh and Cai-Fong, and the French fleet are prepared to make an attack on Hue, the capital of the Anameee Empire. Mr Gladstone will shortly leave on a cruise on board Lord Wolverton's yacht. A body of soldiers have been told off to protect Lord Chief Justice Coleridge ' at the Bristol Assizes, m consequence pf threats which have been made by Fenians. The Hon. Evelyn Ashley, Parliamentary Under-Secretary tor Coloni-s, justifies the action of Usibepu m the battle against Cetewayo at Ulundi. In the House of Commons,^ Mr Gladstone said that the Agents»General's despatch had not caused the Go» ?srnment to reconsider the decision rived at with regard to the annexation of New Guinea. I ; A monster meeting of Bradlaugha supporters, cumbering 40,000, has been held m Traialgar Square.
