Gold near Wellington.
ft f Wellington Paper.] We were shown yesterday a specimen of very " likely "looking quartz taken from a reef at JNgahauranga, only four miles from Wellington. A Company has, we are told, been formed to work the claim, the reef m which is said to be five feet: thick. The qnartz {does not, to the eye, show gold m the stone. but is by no means of necessity valueless on that account. It is of grayish color, as though inpregnated with arsenical pyrites.
