By advertisement elsewhere it will bt> Been that a meeting: of persons interested is convened for to-morrow evening, at tbe Commerciil Hotel, to discuss the question, it is satisfactory to notice thafc the influential portion of the community have taken the matter m hand, and we sincerely hope that the inaugural step now taken win lead on to successful results. There is no occasion to enlarge upon the necessity for a Fire Brigade, for that is never disputed or denied. The Borough Council having offered io contribute towards the expenses contingent upon the. establishment of a Brigade, all that is wanted is for the people themselves to show that they are willing to co-opernte m what must prove an invaluable institution m the place.
