NARROW ESCAPE. (tooted press association.) -h(v&Bak&aihh f July 16. "When the Duuedin express had gone a short distance out of town to-day, a man named Charles Lewis, said to* be of unsound mind, threw himselt across the line as the train approached. Every effort was made to sfcop the engine, bufc Lewis was caught by the cowcatcher, and dragged a considerable distance. Ha was conveyed to the hospital where it was found that he had received a contused wound m the baok of the head, whcih is not considered dangerous.
