The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports of the local grain markets as follows : — Shipping wheat 4s lid to ss ; the market is steady Malting barley is dull at 5s 4d to 5s lOd New Zealand oats, feeding qualities,2s lOd to 3s 2d. Milling do, 3s 2d to 3s 3d Under bond-, 2s Id to 2s 4d The market Is steady, but not active. MR FREEMAN R. JACKSON'S FORTNIGtHILY STOCK REPORT. '•■..--- Wednesday. Jaly 117 ~ I have no improvement m values to report since my last. The demand lor all description of stock is as limited as it was last month, busiuess being restricted to actual requirements. No cattle were sold at the yards to»day, the beef being of only medium quality. >heep were a shade better worth, with a limited supply. Sheep. — 404* were penned; fat wethers, 11s lOd to 13s ; ewes m lamb, 8s 6d. Hgs.— 96 made up the sale ; good porkers, from 18s to 355; the large sow, 695 ; smaller sorts, 10s to 15s — the description of stock were at lower rates. Horses. — I sold nearly all that offered at no improvement m values.
