A Little Wanderer.
On Friday niglifclast.saysa "Wellington paper, Constable Mackay /stationed at Petone and the Hutt, received m« timation that a child, aged two years, the daughter of Mr James Tetley, batcher, of Petone, was missing from her home. Constable Mackay, assisted by a large number of the residents, turned ont, and on the following morning found the little one sitting 1 on a log at distance of about two miles from her home. The child appeared not to be the least frightened, and scarcely complained, even of hunger, after her long and compulsory fast.
