A Turt Trial.
THE "LEVIATffAN" IN COURT. (By Telegraph.) [united pbess >ssociaticn.l Adelaide, June 24. The case of Thompson against Blackler. and others, lessees, ol the Adelaide racecourse, commenced m tbe Supreme Court, before his Honor Juige Boucant, on Monday. Mr Symon, who appeared for Ihe plaintiff, moved for an interlocutory injunction restraining tho defendants from making auy ppcjmiary charge either to Thompson or the public generally for entrance upon the vacecourse. It was alleged that the corporation, from whom the defendants leased, had no power to pranfc a lease under the Act which rave them control •over park lands. His Honor suggested that the arguments would necessitate his deciding the validity of the lease, which was really a matter for the dpciston of the judge who tried the action, and therefore the case should stand over. This course was agreed to, the costs to be costs m the cause. The interim order previously made was discharged with costs, the defendants to keep accounts ot all moneys received from Thompson, and the costs to abide the result of the trial.
