PROPOSAL TO WIND TIP,

At a meeting of shareholders of the Foxton~*£anson Railway Company, held at Sanson last Monday, a resolution was passed that the Company should be wound up voluntarily, with Messrs H. San3on and J. A. Bailey as liquidators, at a remuneration of £10. The balance sheet submitted to the meeting showed that 92 shareholders^ holding 1,795 shares, had not paid the first call, and the Chairman intimated that the Directors had decided that, to place all on the same footing, \>he defaulters should be made to pay up, and then return the amount coming to each shareholder after the expenses incurred hud been deducted. The expenses so far amounted to £622 16s 9J, and the amount paid iv was £724.
