CopNpiLLoß N, last evening* at the meeting ot the Borough -Council, dedeprecated the action of the Wellington Board of College Governors with regard to thfcrr reserves m Palmerston, a por t|on of which was desired for hospital purposed. They could not turn it to any usetuL purpose* or advantageous object themselves, jet they wished to embarans the Borough Council m their efforta to obtain a portion for a vert necessary use. Members of the Board had stated to himself, when m Wellington, their willingness to fall m with the views of the Borough Council j yti o subsequent meeting of the Board virtually annulled the tacit understanding arriv dat on the subject. On Cr motion it was resolved th»t the matter be represented by a memorial, addressed individually to each member of the House, praying that under the eircumscancs the reserves m question should not be vested m the Well ing tor. Board of College Governors, and th*t two sections be set aside lor the use of au h <Bpijta) for Palmeretou. It is to bo h«ped t this .action will be successful m its object, which is perfectly legitimate, and which is one of great importance to Palmerston.
