Tbe chaiiman of the compaay (Mr J.E. Nathan) formally moved "the resolutions, which were seconded by Mr A "Baker and carried unanimously without discussion. In reply toMrT. K.Mi>cdon«ld, on* of the shareholders present, the Chairman said that the 'company had sold the balance of shares (40,000) m London at par; and hac arranged the loan of £200,000, a portion of which they had now m Wellington.- He added that it was arranged with a syndicate, and it would not be fair to tbe latter to state the terms, until they had put the loan m the market. v As soon as this was done« however, lull details would be placed before the public. He might state, however, that the arrange, ment was a very satisfactory one, the price being witnin the limit prescribed by the. Railways' Construction and Land.
