o In reference to a recent article on tree planting as a means of acquiring land for nothing, we learn from the Waipawa Mail that since the Acts we referred to came mbo force, only twentyfive orders have been issued under their regulations. The Dumber of acres planted have been 1,260, of which 835 arlein Canterbury, 301 m Qtago, and. 124 m Hawke's Bay.
