Arrest By the Police.
[Wellington Paper | On Thursday Mounted Constable McAriulty, the officer m charge of the Foxton police station, apprehended a man named John Boyce at Pox ton, on the charge of st aling from the dwelling of a a resident of Petone. The accused left Foxton by the s.s. Jane Douglas last night under ecsorfc, and will arrive here this morning. There is a spice of romance m the . affair, a woman being mixed up m the case, and some rather delicate revelations may be expected when the charge is investigated. The accused, it Is stated, lodged with the prosecutor, and came into town on Monday night last, putting up at an hotel m Lambton Ward, leaving town per coach on the following morning. Upon Boyle's Slight being discovered, a telegram was despatched ordering his arrest, which was effected as described.
