~ The insurances, on the goods destroyed m the railway goods shed, amount to about £2000, distributed over » , number :of oflicesi so that it will not fall heavily, on the Insurance Companies. The Sun office loses the most. One firm of jewellers lost £4000 worth of jewellery totally uninsured., A number of other firms have lost heavily. An accurate list of the goods cannot be obtained. The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce has been requested to call a meeting to enquire into the circumstances of thfl fire.
