. A telegram from Tb Aroha says; — A most peculiar accident occurred here during a heavy gale. A carpenter with bis wife and child were living m a cpttage on the road between here and Waiorongomai. The cottage, which was very substantial and well Euilt, was caught by the gale, turned over on the roof, and then relaaded on its feet again. The occupants of the house were much shaken, but not seriously hurt.:
