(by : telegraph."* (uniteo pbess association.) Dunedin, Mhv 17. The sensational story from Teviot has turned but a " false alarm. The police have received the following telegram from a constable stationed m the district: — *' Found bones of a human being m a gully twenty«nine miles from Roxburgh, m ranges. They are all disconnected and decayed. There is no appearance of foul play. It looks as f the body had been, there for tbe last eight or ten years, and that the deceased person had been lost m the snow. There is no chance of identification.
