Extraordinary ConSPIRACY TO MURDER.

SHOCKING REVELATIONS.

An investigation of the circumstances connected with the murder of Esther Crogban, who was shot m Deer«street, took pjace at Mullingar on the 10th march. An approver, named Walsh, (says the European Mail\ deposed that shortly before the murder the prisoner, Anne Cro»han, who is sister of the murdered woman, came to him, and said she had been put out of hor mother's house by hor sister Essy ; that she was without house or food, and she wanted Essy to be done away with ; and that any one who did the job would be paid for it. He afterwards got ten shillings from her, and h* applied to certain persons for assistance to murder Essy. The first man he spoke to was named Lanissy, who said that the job could be well done, and that there would be plenty got to earn money on it. Walsh also consulted the prisoner Cain and a man named Laurence Kenny. The latter consented to shoot the woman, and Cain agreed to accompany him. The men met frequently m a publichouse m Mullincar to discuss the plan of the job, Anae Croghan complained of the delay, and asked Walsh if he was going to let it go altogether by, and wa^ not going to get anything done. He said he had spoken to men who would do it if they got money. She said she would eive them all she could gee. A man named Michael Kelly lent Walsh a revolver, which he gave to ivenny, who proceeded to the house where Esther Crogtian lived with her mother. He came back soon after and gave Lanissy and W alsh an account of how he had committed the murde^ and asked was it not well done ? Walsh said it was. She could only have lived a few minutes. Cain, who accompanied Ksnn 1 /, remained outside the house to render assistance if necessary, bat Kenny fired five or s : x shots iflto the body of the unfortunate woman, and no assistance was required. Kenny never got any mouey for the murder. He stated to Walsh thar, although he shot another woman m the house, he did dot intend to do more than frighten her Kenny is undergoing penal servitude for another crime, arid he will be placed on trial with Acne Croghan and Cain. The Kelly who supplied the revolver is believed to be the m*n whose name was mentioned m connection with the Maamstrasna massacre.
