NICE BEHAVIOUR.
(to the editoe of the standard.) Sir, — Allow me to say as one of the audience at last night's concert that though its want of success was paiufally apparent, th*t should be no excuse for the conduct of two persons , *rhom I suppose I must for courtesy sake style gentlemen. Thsy were unquestionably m an advanced stage of intoxication, , and their behaviour m a public place was roost indecorous. I believe the shorter of the two, (I do not know theif names, neither do I want to,) if left to his own devices, would have refrained for annoying 1 the audience, but his taller and more " distingue friend would not suffer him to do so. I say both ought to be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. And I hope that -when next they venture into respectable society, they will try to behave at least decently j instead of worse than street larrikins.— >l am &c. Ptranobr. Palmerstnn North May 3.
