The Wellington Slip Company's thir* teenth annual meeting was to Have been held at noon on Monday, but lapsed for want of a quorum of nine shareholder?, only five being present. The report to be submitted recommends a dividend of 5 per cent, for the past year. Sixty-three vessels had been taken on the Slip during the year. We also leaan that the Company's earnings since the accounts closed m March have been exceptionally good. The ; . accounts ahow a profit of £3770 for the year, the total receipts being £5623. The Company's paid up capital is £30,520. " TheSynodon the 18th (says the Hawke's Bay Herald) went into committee to!consolidate the statutes and canons of the Church.
