It is probable that an extensive trade will be opened up between Australia and England m cheap colonial wines. Mr Davis, wLo has arrived from London on behalf of a company, has selected a quantity of fair and middling qualities to supply the place of clarets and hocks. He has. also a commission to purchase a quantity of expensive wines for connoisseurs. Provision is to be made m the Postal Amending Act next session for assimilating postage stamps. Several members of the Ministry were present at the banquet at the Pbceuix Foundry, Ballarat, on the 15th instant, m celebration of the completion of the hundredth locomotive for tbe Government.
