The Crisborne correspondent of the " Morning Herald " says that it is stated that the New Zealand Native Land Settlement Company intend reserving some 50, 000 acres of their land surrounding Gisborne for the purpose oE being cut up in* to small farms, and bringing out 1000 emigrants to settle upon it. IE the proa ject is successfully carried out it will give a great impetus to that already flourishing locality. A Glasgow evening paper is informed that men are going the round of Pollok shaws, a town near Glasgow, collecting money to assist m paying for the defence oE the persons charged with 'the Phcanix Park murders.
