To Our Town Readers.
It has been found necessary to increase the number <>f mounted runners who deliver the Standakd withiu the town and suburbs. The new arrangement, which will come into eff ct from Monday will enable a more rapid distribution to be effected, an<J every subscriber m town and immediate suburbs should receive hi? paper within an' hour of publication. Our largely increasing circulation m town (especially within the last few weeks) has rendered this arrangement imperatively necessary, and no doubt our town readers will benefit by the alteration, m the way of considerably earlier delivery. As the winter season advances, and short days come on, the earlier the delivery the better for our subscribers, as well as our runners and their borses.
