A Narrow Escape.
One of the inmates of. the Castlebar Lunatic Asylum m London, a young women about twenty years of age, effected her escape from that institution by getting through one. of ,the windows which she, had previously broken.) She afterwards directed her' steps towards^ her parents' home, adjacent to Glaremorris, und about twelve ' miles from Oastlebar. The route she took was along the railway track, and she had reached within a mile , of- ;• Cl aremorris station when she sat down to rest. The spot she chose was ia the ceatre of the railway track, and here she .surrounded herself with a pile of stones. Sjbordy afterwurds.the t up night mail came'alonp, but tortu nately the driver noti.qed the obstruction m tiiae to pull ap. ■ The poor girl was then discovered asleep, and upon being wakened i she ran away screaming. The matter was reported to the police upon the train reaching Claremorris, and after a few hours search the girl was captured and taken back to the Asylum.
