A case of some importance) to owMers of house property occupied the attention of the Resident Magistrate's Court, Wellington, recently. The owner of a tenement had made entrance and levied distress on goods m the bouse while the legal tenant was m gaol, entrance having been made by a duplicate key" The Court ruled that such entrance was illegal, and ordered that the goods seized should be returned or the value refunded. The fact that an lf Englishman's bouse is his castle," apppars to be now and then overlooked by the honorable fraternity of bum-bailiffs and their aids.
