A Sickening Spectacle.
A most startling and disagreeable discovery was made the other day on Blackman's Lead, oft Majorca-road, Maryborough . In an old hut the dead bodies of two Chinamen were found . One was lying full length on the floor, apparently with his throat cnt ; the other was kneeling between a sleeping bunk and a table,- also with a deep wound m his tin oat, and from the position of the body he had seemingly been holding his head over a jar. The scene was most sickening. Death is considered to have taken place quite three weeks ago. The heads of the poor men were nearly eaten off by vermin, and the doctor was unable to judge from appearances whether their throats had really been cut as surmised, or to state what was the manner of their death. AH that is known is that the names of deceased were Ah Tan and Ah Yen. One was 52 and the other 54 years of age . They earned their living by digging and gardening. Neither had been seen for about three weeke, and prior to that it was currently reported that one was very ill.
