Adelaide wheat remains ab 503 6d } ex store, and New Zealand wheat at 44s 6d to 48s, according to qiulity. Total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain, 2,250,000 quarters, or 30 000 less than la>t week. Australian tallow is firm, and has advanced by 6d per cwt, and best beef is 44<3 ; best mutton, 46s 6d. WELL.LNOTOST MARIiErS. Hassell and Co. report :— Flour, £10 to £11 ; oatmeal, £15 ; bran, £ I ; pollard, £ 5 ; potatoes, £5 to £6 ; onions, £16 per ton. Oats, 2s 9d to 8s 6d ; wheat, '3s 6d to 4s 6d ; maize, 4s 9d per bushel. Butter, 7d to B<J, 3acon and hams, 9d per Ib ; e^gs, Is to Is Id. Fowl?, 3s 6d ; dncks, 43 per pair. Business m graitt particularly slow, as bu'era are holding off, waiting arrival of new crop. Laery and Campbell report : — Eggs are more scarce, and worth Is 2d per dozen. The market is quite bare of butter, both fresh and salted ; there have been inquiries for salt butter during the week. Poultry haa been m very small supply, but, even ao, is hard to place. Potatoes may be quoted as m brisk demand at £6 per ton. Onions, alow of sale at l£d to 2d per lb. In other produce there is literally no busi*. ness doing except m quite retail lots. George Thomas reports a plentiful supply of old oats to hand, and several cargoes on the water. A good inquiry exists, for grass seed. For firstnclass perennial rye-grass ssed 4s 6d to 4s 9d is quoted ; there have been somo transactions at the former figure ; cocksfoot is worth 4d to 4^d.
