Harvesting is m full *wing m this district. Natives are employed, as white labour' is scarce. This morning a ten -roomed house on the South Road, owned by Mr ;Ohar^ nock, was burned to the ground. Mr and Mm Charnock were the only occupants, and they had a narrow escape.
