Cburteney, a returned diamond miner from 1 South Africa, has had on interview with Donglas, who found the alleged diamonds at a locality 10J miles from Auckland, and has examined a number: of specimens m his. possession. Courtney says some of the specimens are diamonds of fair; quality, though small, but the greater number of the white stories he pronounced to be white carbon m process of formation into diamonds. He urges Donglan to try and arrange matters with the owner of the land, and raise a prospecting party to test the district, and he offers to join ■'the^parby. . ■■ : " i '
