Mr Hawkins questioned the regularity of the proceedings, through the Court having been adjourned on Saturday 'till ten o'clock on Monday, when the registrar stated that his jurisdiction haa expired. He applied to have the proceedings allowed to lapse, when they would be taken m another form. His clients and witi nesses were not m attendance. Counsel for t.ha defendants demurred, and the Registrar stated that his jurist diction had been extended by a telegrav phic communication received that day. tJnder : .these circumstances, the es> amination of H.
