The proportion of the reserve to liabilities has further fallen to 30 per cent. The Bank rate of discouac remains at 5 per cent, and market rate 3f per cent. Consols have advanced to 99f . Best selected transparent kauri gum, per ewt, £12 7s 6d. The wool market is quiet. Arrivals to date for next sales amount to 70,000 bales. Adelaide flour, ex Btore, 335. New Zealand wheat, 43* 6d to 46a. Australian tallow — Best beet) 42a 6d j best mv ton, 44s 9d.
