TIIENDERiS will be received at this Office, -1- on or before MONDAY, the 24th September, EXECUTION, of the following WORKS: — Erecting a Timber Bridge over the Omaha River, at Blenheim, within 150 yards of the head of the Opawa River navigation. Erecting a Timber Bridge over the Tua Marina River, at the Massacre Hill, adjoining the Waitohi Road. Constructing a Punt (for a cart ferry), to be delivered near Mr. Gouland’s, on the Wairau River Plans and specifications of the above Works, and Forms of Tender, may be seen at this Office, and at the offices of the Nelson Examiner, Nelson, and the Wellington Independent, Wellington. A PPLICATION for DEPASTURING -ljC LICENSE in accordance with the Land Regulations, 1856, received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands before the 7th September instant: —
John Ford . } District —Wairau. Boundaries—On the south by | Michael Maher’s run; west, | by the Kaituna valley and surveyed land; north, by the wooded ridge; east, by the Waikaka stream. Estimated extent—Under 10,000 acres. Deposit paid, £ls. William Adams, 3GI Commissioner of Crown Lands. Land Office, Marlborough, September 7, 1860. IN accordance with the provisions of the Land Regulations now in force in this province, I do hereby notify and declare that the Pasture Occupation License, dated January 1,1859, and made out in the name of William Robert Cator, for a Run of four thousand seven hundred acres, in the Wairau District, bounded as follows : North —The foot of the range of hills coming down to the sea on the North side of the Wairau River ; East —The Government Reserves along the shore of Cloudy Ray; South —The Wairau River and the Native Reserve; and West —The surveyed sections on the Wairau Plain, near the entrance of the Tua Marina Valley, is, through non-compliance with the said Regulations, forfeited; and I shall let the said Run, to which the said License relates, by Public Auction (whereof one month’s notice shall be given), to the highest bidder, for a term of fourteen years, subject to the conditions of the said Regulations.
