Wedding.

TREGONNING—HORE. A wedding of considerable interest to Otago Central people was solemnised in the Methodist Church, Mornington, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 25th Marcb, 1920, the contracting parties being Mr Russell H. Tregonning (eldest son of W. H. Tregonning, Esq., "Riverslea") Waipiata, and Miss Ada Hore, younger daughter of James, Hore, Esq. (late of "Ida Vale," Kyeburn, and now of Picardy Street, Mornington). The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. B. F. Retbwell, tbe bridesmaids being Miss Tregonning, sister of tbe bridegroom, and Miss Violet Inder, niece of tbe bride. Mr Charles Hore, the bride's cousin, acted as beßt man, and Mr Arthur Hore, of foharaki as the groomsman. The church was very prettily decorated for the occasion, and sppropiata wedding music was pleasingly rendered by the organist. Tl e wedding br.akft'St took place at the residence of tbe bride's parents, where the numerous guests sat down to a very nicely laid out rep«Bt. The customary | toasts were duly honoured. "The King." "The Bride and Bridegroom," proposed by tbe Rev. B. F. Rothwell; "The Bridesmaid," proposed by tbe bridegroom; "Theßride's Parents," proposed by Mr Simon; "Tbe j Bridegroom's Parents," proposed by Mr Frsser; "Absent Friends," proposedbyMrW. H. Tregonning; and "The Chairman," (the Kev. Mr Rothwell), proposed by Mr Jas. Hore, jun. After tbe breakfast tbe happy couple left by tbe South express on a short honeymoon to Stewart Island. The bride's dress was pale blue crepe-de-chin* with the customary veil and orange blossom, and abe also carried a beautiful shower bouquet. Tbe bridesmaids wore pale heliotrope dresses with black velvet hats relieved with Heliotrope. The presents were numerous, varied and useful, and included several valn_ able cheques, a dinner set, tea Bet' jdoulton ware, linen, cutlery, silver'

Tregonning and family in the Waipiata Hall and was a great BUccesß, friends from all over the dia- . trict attending to do honour to the happy | couple. The proceedings opened with | the Grand March and dancing was kept j up with spirit until the early morning. ■| Songs were contributed during the evening by Mrs Sutherland and Miss Tregonning. During the supper Mr j Silas Hore took the opportunity of ; thanking Mr and Mrs Tregonning and i family for the open invitation to welj come the bride and bridegroom home j to Waipiata and hearty cheers were ( given for them. Excellent music was i provided by Messrs Moore Bros, and Mr Geddes, and the M.C.b were Mr R. J Peterson and Mr W. Howell.

The proceedings broke up by singing Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem.
