Th/e return visit to Clyde took place last,)- Saturday. Four rinks made the ~ _Jtrip' and were favoured with delight--fal weather. A call was first made at Alexandra where a rink tried conclusions with the holders of the Jolly Memorial. Although all arrangements for this match had been made and agreed to, we were surprised to find some of the Alexandra team pleading ignorance of any knowledge of a match. The green was not prepared and we had to wait while, it was cut, and to avoid delay we also assisted in rolling it. Altogether our reception left much to be desired. However a good game played in a friendly spirit resulted, and although not successful -in obtaining the trophy our rink put up a good tight. Another effort will be mßde in the near future. Follow-*.' ing was the result of the mntch : Rivers 23 Lemm 1 Campbell Drake M'Donald . Buchanan Hewitt Brown After lunch we yjourneyed on to Clyde, and received a hearty welcome from, our friends there. Their green was in beautiful condition. An enjoy- ■- able game was marred to a slight extent by a tricky wind blowing across the green. The home t6«m proved much superior on, the day's play, ttiree of our rinks getting a bad drubbing. The scores were as follows: — Drake 17 Buchanan Sullivan Fraher Scott H. Moore M'Leod liemm 30 Eriesbn 4 Norrie . Delahunty C. Moore ■_,-■" Bloy . W. Hore| Hincbcliffs C. As there is talk of instituting a championship singles tournament, players should keep up their practice.
