SCHOOL.CONCERT.
On Thursday, 13tb last, a school con" cert was held in the Ranfurly Hallv There was a large audience and a lengthy programme was given, all items of which were much appreciated. The concert was in aid of the Patriotic Wool Fund and added to the amount taken will be the sum of £2 Is 2saV which was collected while Miss D. Glenn sang a solo, the Union Jack being held by four girls. | The programme was as follows: — Pianoforte solo, Miss V. Kearney; chorus, Maw Nealand Will do Her Share, senior pupils; recitation, I. Davis; action song, Sweeping 'Brush Brigade, senior girls; duet, Tying The Leaves (encored), D. and K. Glenn; solo, The Little Soldier (encored), E. Larson; dialogue, An Everyday Occurence ; solo. Lullaby Song, K. Glenn; cborns, Britannia's School, senior girls; recitation, ,M. M'Etlane; duet, R. Oriscoll and E. Dougherty; chorus, The Dream Man; Red Cross Song, D. Glenn; pianoforte solo. E. Dougherty; cborns, When the Peace Bells Ring, senior pupils; <)ocg, Jack Tar, Rose and Ray Driscolt; recitation, K. Ferguson ; Lullaby Song, junior girls; solo, yoya of the King, £. Reid; laughing song, senior boys; solo, Fan Telegraph, D. Reid; dialogue, Pulling Sam's Tooth; The Railway Train, junior pupils'; song, Funoy Peoria from Japan, four seniors; recitation, I. M'Lay; goodnight song, nine girls.
After the fall of the curtain, sopp«r was handed around, the hall then being cleared for dancing. The duties of M.C. were carried oat efficiently and the music supplied by different ones was excellent
