MANIOTOTO EARLY SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION.

" The adjourned meeting of the committee took place in the County Hall on the 18th inpt. The following were present—Messrs Guffie, Barratt, Daweon, Strong, C. Hore, M'Grath, Inder and the secretary (Mr C. Dixon). An - apology waß read from Mr H. Wilson. On the motion of Messrs Barratt and Dixon Mr Guffie was voted to the chair.

». Mr Dawson moved and Mr Strong seconded—That the annual reunion take the form of a picnic, to be held in the Recreation Reserve, NBseby, on the sth February, 1914. Mr Strong moved and Mr M'Grath seconded —That the ladies be not called on for baskets for the picnic. —Carried.

Mr Dixon moved and Mr Barratt seconded - That Messrs E. Smith, J. Francis and J. Law be re-elected the Catering Comrai i tee —Carried. Sports Committee. —Messrs C. Inrler, K. L. Francis and M'K. Marshall jvere elected on the motion of Mesßrs Hore and Strong. Concert, Dance and Music Committee —Messrs Pearson, Strong, E. Brown and C. Here were elected on the motion of Messrs Dawson and Hore.

Mr Dawson moved and Mr Strong saccnded—That Mr Marslin (captain of the Fire Brigade) be asked to make arrangements for a bonfire; coßt not to exceed 30s.

§ Mr Strong moved and Mr Dixon seconded —That each sub. committee draw up a.programme and probable cost of same and report to general committee meeting to be held on January 6th, 1914.

A vote of thanks to the chair was passed and the meeting terminated.
