SKIN AND HIDE REPORT.

Dalgety and Company, Ltd., re;ior t having held their weekly sale of rab" bitskinß on Monday the 11th inst. The quantities coming forward during the past week or two have fallen off considerably, so that the offerings this week were not so large as usual. A! 1 classes of skins met with a good demand, and prices were firm at last week's quotations. Our catalogue contained one or two lots of Very prime doe skins, the best of which brought 38id. We held our usual fortnightly sale of sheepskins on sth inst, when we offered an average sized catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was harely so keen as in recent sales, and prices were just maintained. Full wools—Halfbred— BJd to 9id; fine crossbred Sd to Bfd; crossbred, 7d to Sd; merino, 7Jd to 8d; dead Id to to 2d lower. Half wools—Halfbred, 6Jd to Bfd; crossbred, Gd to 74d; merino, 5Jd to 6d. Quarter wools —Half-

bred, 6d to 7Jd crossbred, 4Jd to GJd; merino, 4d to sd; Pelts—Crossbred, 3sd to 4Jd; merino, 2£d to 3Jd; tembskins, 6Jd to 7jt'«.

SIOCK MARKET. Wednesday July 13. Fat Cattle.—l 66 head werp yarded at Bumside. Prices eased at the finish of the sale. Prime bullocks, £lO to £ll 10s; extra, to £l2 15s; medium to good, £9 to £10; inferior, £7 10a to £8 10a; prime heifers £8 to £9; extra, to £lO. Fat Sheep—26o6 penned. The market dropped Is, and extra weight 2s. Best 17s 6d to 19s; extra, to 22s 9d; b3St ewes, 15s to 16s; extra to3Bp 9d; medium, 12s 6d to 13s 6d. Mr: Walter Mathewson, Kokonga, sold'3s wethers at 15s 9d, 17 at 14s 9d; Mr 'james Hore, Kyeburn, 44 wetbtrs at 37s 8d 5 ewes at 13s 6d;Mr J. G. Fearce, Waipiata, 45 wethers at 17 to 14s 9d; Mr J. Kearney, Ranfurly, wethers to 235; Mr W. M'Donald, Ida Valley, wethers to 16s; Mr. J. Wilson, Lauder, withers at 133 9d; Fat Lambs. —1597 were penned. Quality on the whole -was rot good.
