HIDE AND SKIN REPORT.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows Rabbitskins.—We held our usual weekly auction sale of rabbitskins on Monday, when we offered a medium sized catalogue to a representative attendance of buyers. Competition was very keen and we cleared every lot at prices showing a slight advance on the previous week. We quote:— Super winter does 28d to 34d, 2nd winter does 24d to 28d, outgoing winters does 17d to 20d, winter bucks 16d to 19d, outgoing winter bucks 13d to 16d, springs 12d to 14d, autumns 14d to 16d, racks 9d to lOfd, first winter blacks 24d to 32d, second winter blacks 20d to 24d.

Sheepskins.—We held our usual weekly auction sale of sheepskins on Tuesday, when we offered a large catalogue to a full attendance of buyers. We cleared our catalogue under good competition as under — Full-woolled. halfbred BJd, to yfd, do fine crossbred 7&d to Bfd, do crossbred 7d to 7fd, do merino 7d to 8&d; half to three quarter wools —halfbred 7£d to Bd, crossbred 5d to 7d, merino 5Jd to 6£d. Hides.—We held our usual fortnightly sale of hides at our stores on Thursday, 11th inst., when we offered a large catalogue to the usual attend-r ance of buyers. Bidding was spirited for all descriptions, and we cleared our catalogue at prices showing a light advance on late quotations Owing to Show Day falling on 25th inst the next hide sale will be held on Thursday, 2nd December. We quote —Ox —Extra»stout heavy 74d to B£d, heavy 6Jd to 7Jd, medium 6d to 6£d light 6d to 6|d; cow —heavy 6d to,6Jd, medium 6d to 6gd, light 6d to 6|d, yearlings 4Jd to 6d, calfskins 8d to 9Jd. Slippy and damaged at lower rates. *

Tallow and ]?at.— All consignments coming forward meet w;ith ready sale at quotations—Prime mutton tallow 19s to 235, mixed mutton tallow 16s to 19s, best caul fat to 18s, rough fat 14s to 16s. Dunedin, 24th November.
