NASEBY BRASS BAND.

Following is the" annual report presented to the annual meeting of the band held recently :

Your committee have the "honor to present the following report. As will -be ; seen from the- balance sheet the/income was £lllss and the expenditure £ls l'4s 6d, so that the credit balance:the band had at the beginning at the~ : year has been reduced to £3 12s lid.

To the bandsmen the principal feature of the year-was ''".the trip to Clyde tb play for the opening Of the jailway, a.trip"that was most enjoyable as*the band was well received arid treated the Clyde executive. Practices throughout the -year were on the whole well attended, the absence of members being chiefly due to business or absence from Naseby on busi-

-ness. "Open-air—performances were given as frequently as possible, members wil-lingly-responding tothe>,call on their time* '.
